ALBANY – The New York State Bar Association Real Property Law Section’s Landlord & Tenant Proceedings Committee is presenting Hot Topics In Landlord And Tenant Practice, a full-day program featuring a panel of legal experts who will provide updates on recent developments for practitioners in the landlord-tenant area.

The program will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:35 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 2004 at the Southgate Tower Hotel, 371 Seventh Ave. at 31st Street, New York, NY (212) 563-1800.

Among the speakers will be: Edward G. Baer (committee chair) - Belkin Wenig & Goldman LLP; Jeffrey C. Chancas - Borah, Goldstein, Altschuler, Schwartz & Nahins, PC; and Nancy J. Marrone - Legal Services of the Hudson Valley, Yonkers. Each expert will address a specific topic and prepare written material on that topic.

All registrants will receive a manual containing the speakers’ written presentations. Topics will include: profiteering, pet law, sweetheart/non-primary residence lease, criminal acts, luxury deregulation, and commercial tenants.

This program has been approved for 7.0 New York MCLE credits for all attorneys, including those newly admitted.

Early registration fees (i.e., received or postmarked 10 days prior to the program date) are $180 for NYSBA members and $235 for non-members. A $15 late fee will be added for registration received or postmarked thereafter; or for on-site registration.
