Consumers and Small Businesses in Distress (2009)

This timely program offers useful practical guidance for practitioners involved or about to be involved in consumer bankruptcy cases. The program focuses on best practices, recommended procedures and suggested techniques in cases in which the house or a small, family-owned business may be the largest asset. The experienced faculty explores the perspectives of both the debtor and creditor.
Effectively managing a case—including choosing the right chapter, making appropriate arrangements for getting paid, and insuring an effective 341 meeting of creditors—is highlighted.
