
![]() Employment at Will and NYS Exceptions (2011)This program addresses the protections or exceptions afforded by case law and New York statutes regarding the employment-at-will doctrine. Starting with a detailed review and update of the New York State approach to employment at will, this program presents the statutory exceptions to this doctrine, such as the Lawful Activities Law, the “Whistle blowing” protection under the Labor Law, and various other and less widely known protections. The program also briefly reviews federal protection in this area. A knowledge and understanding of these provisions will assist in representing clients in these difficult economic times.
