Immigration Law Update 2012 (2012)

Immigration law is a highly visible part of the daily national news. New laws, new regulations, new proposals abound practically on a day-to-day basis. Clients’ lives are substantially impacted and increasing numbers of practitioners in a variety of practice areas are confronted with issues that require a working knowledge of immigration law.

This comprehensive program is designed to provide insight into immigration law for practitioners who have recently entered the field. Experienced immigration lawyers will also benefit from this program because the faculty examines, in practical terms designed to increase expertise, major practice areas within U.S. Immigration and Nationality Law.

Topics addressed include status, examination of documents, non-immigrant application basics, inadmissibility and removability, and naturalization, as well as immigration law’s intersection with the substantive fields of employment law and family law.

The program concludes with a useful review of identifying and properly handling ethical quandaries an immigration attorney is likely to face.

An outstanding, well-rounded faculty provides you with guidance and perspective in order to properly handle your cases under present immigration law and regulations as well as when your immigration cases involve other substantive areas of law.
