This program recording
takes a fresh approach to some of the basics of support, family offense
proceedings and ethics in family court practice. The speakers review the
elements of Family Court procedure and suggested methodologies for
how to
litigate a child support proceeding, from preparation of the petition
through objections to a support order, as well as appeals following
objections. The program also covers the basics of the Uniform Interstate
Family Support Act (UIFSA) and family offense proceedings under Article
8 of the Family Court Act, including practice points and sensitivity to
the issues of domestic violence.
