Product Description

Historically, the so-called Adeep pocket@in the catastrophic injury automobile negligence case in New York was the title-owner of the vehicle.  Unless the title-owner had inadequate insurance coverage, few New York attorneys ever gave a second thought to the potential product liability theories in their automobile cases.

Given the recent changes in NY law to protect title-owners, practitioners must now take a fresh look at the potential for suing (and defending) product manufacturers in automobile cases involving monumental injuries.  Automobile crashworthiness litigation will inevitably become more of a consideration in New York auto cases in the coming years and both plaintiff and defense counsel must be acquainted with this area of litigation to properly advise their clients.  This program has been designed to give attorneys an introduction to the various issues that typically arise in the litigation of auto crashworthiness product liability cases.  The panelists for this program are all excellent, experienced attorneys with local and national automobile product liability practices.
