The Commercial Division Law Report Committee
consists of members of the New York State Bar Association's Commercial
and Federal Litigation Section who strive to advance New York's role as
a leader in business transactions and commercial law by working closely
with the Commercial Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New
York, the Office of Court Administration and the NYSBA's Committee on
the Commercial Division to provide critical resources and
discussion fora for commercial law practitioners. The
Committee assists the Office of Court Administration in drafting,
editing, publishing and disseminating the Commercial Division's
publication, The Law Report. It also works to ensure that the
The Law Report is published
on a regular basis, includes key cases and is presented in a way that
helps practitioners identify significant developments. Over time,
the Committee hopes to enhance internet searching capacity of Commercial
Division cases included in the Law Report. Finally,
in addition to its work on the The Law Report,
the Committee works closely with
the Commercial and Federal Litigation
Section's Committee on the Commercial
Division, as well as the Justices of
the Division itself, to assemble and publish additional
resources of value to practitioners and the Court, including pattern jury instructions
geared uniquely to commercial
cases. The
Commercial Division Law Report Committee is co-chaired by
Scott E. Kossove, L'Abbate, Balkan, Colavita & Contini, L.L.P.,
Garden City skossove@lbcclaw.com and
Daniel K. Wiig, Brooklyn daniel.wiig@yahoo.com.
