Class action procedure and practice continue to
raise numerous controversial and interesting issues that affect a wide
gamut of substantive law. The Committee on Class Action, comprised
of both attorneys who generally represent plaintiffs and those who
generally represent defendants, provides a forum for discussion of these
issues and seeks to glean insight from each other's
perspective. The Committee also prepares reports on current topics
involving class action law, including comments on proposed legislative
and regulatory changes. In addition, the Committee organizes and
participates in CLE seminars on current trends in class action law.
