• To kick off the Committee’s commemoration of Endangered Species Day, the Committee hosted an informative teleseminar with Michael J. Bean, Counselor to the Assistant Secretary for Fish and Wildlife and Parks at the Department of the Interior.

• In honor of Endangered Species Day, the Committee published an article (by Allie Diamond and Ashlee Cartwright), “The Past, Present and Future of the Endangered Species Act,” in Electronically In Touch, the monthly e-newsletter of the NYSBA Young Lawyers Section.

• The winner of the Committee’s Second Annual National Animal Law Student Writing Competition, Allison L.
