Program Description
The Trusts and Estates Law Section and Committee on
Continuing Legal Education are pleased to present this half-day program
that will qualify you for an appointment as a guardian ad litem in
Surrogate’s Court or other court.
The four and a half hours of MCLE credit you
will earn from this program include coverage of: 1) the substantive
rules and law of Part 36 of the Rules of the Chief Judge (22 NYCRR Part
36) governing court appointment of fiduciaries, 2) ethics, and 3) the
procedural aspects of serving as a guardian ad litem as well as the
substantive role of a guardian ad litem in various
proceedings.
The program faculty will include
experienced trusts and estates practitioners and Surrogate’s Court
personnel.
