With in-house counsel facing greater scrutiny and regulation on both the federal and state level, it is necessary for all corporate counsel to be fluent in regulation not only of the corporations and other business entities that they represent, but in rules governing the practice of law by corporate counsel. This program will assist in-house counsel attorneys and other corporate attorneys in understanding and applying their ethical and legal obligations and provides essential MCLE credits in ethics and professionalism. Adjournment This is a transitional program and offers 4.0 credits in Ethics and Professionalism for both newly admitted and experienced attorneys. The credits for attending this program will satisfy the ethics requirement for the full biennial reporting cycle for experienced attorneys. For newly admitted attorneys, it will satisfy their ethics requirement for one year (newly admitted attorneys cannot carry over credits from one year to the next). The New York State Bar Association has been certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board as an Accredited Provider of continuing legal education in the State of New York.
