He is "of counsel" to Ressler & Ressler in New York City and concentrates his practice in complex tort claims, including products liability, legal and medical malpractice, and construction litigation, as well as general negligence cases. He has been selected annually since 2007 for inclusion in the New York Super Lawyers listing. He is a reporter for the New York Pattern Jury Instruction Committee: Civil, a member of the Office of Court Administration's CPLR Advisory Committee, and a member of the New York State Bar Association's CPLR Committee and the New York City Bar Association's Courts of Superior Jurisdiction Committee. He teaches New York Practice, Professional Responsibility and Electronic Evidence & Disclosure at Brooklyn Law School. In addition to programs in civil practice, evidence, disclosure, and settlements at the New York State Judicial Institute, he lectures statewide on these and other topics on behalf of numerous bar associations, and at law firms and legal departments. Mr. Horowitz received his B.A. from Lehman College, City University of New York and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. Effective May 1, 2010, he is the sole author of the nine-volume set Bender's New York Evidence. He is also the author of the treatise, New York Civil Disclosure, revised and reissued annually since 2004, together with the 2008 and 2013 Supplements to Fisch on New York Evidence. He pens the monthly column, "Burden of Proof," on disclosure and evidence, for the New York State Bar Journal. Mr. Horowitz is a founding Dean of CLE at the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers.
