Richard Gutierrez of Queens was elected vice-president for the 11th Judicial District on the Executive Committee.

Gutierrez is a solo practitioner and handles all phases of criminal, personal injury, medical malpractice and civil rights cases.

A 29-year member of the State Bar, Gutierrez is a member of the House of Delegates and the Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law and Trial Lawyers sections. Gutierrez was the first Hispanic president of the Queens County Bar Association. He is a past president of the Latino Lawyers Association of Queens County. He also is the chairman of the Grievance Committee for the 2nd, 11th, and 12th Judicial Districts.

Gutierrez graduated from Brooklyn College and earned his law degree from Seton Hall Law School. He is a resident of Bellmore.
