DescriptionThe Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act: What You Need to Know about the Law and the Supreme Court’s Decision - Online Video Replay On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, a comprehensive health care reform bill designed to increase the number of Americans covered by and to provide new protections for people who have health insurance. In June 2012, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the Act as constitutional. Those who support the law and those who oppose it share two things in common - questions about its key provisions (and its nuances) and opinions about its existence. This half-day seminar will provide an overview of the law’s key provisions, an analysis of the Supreme Court’s decision, and a discussion of their impact. The Act and the Court’s decision impacts most areas of law and this program has something in it for everyone.
