This program will give
attorneys a solid understanding of how to recognize significant
accounting and finance issues existing or arising in a business’
operation. The experienced panelists review the basic principles of
accounting and financial statements, but they devote most of the time to
exploring how you apply these concepts in evaluating and understanding
the financial and economic health of companies, including
not-for-profits, in today’s Sarbanes-Oxley and post-Enron
environment. The panelists highlight the rules of corporate governance
under Sarbanes-Oxley and the responsibilities placed by that law and its
growing body of regulations on lawyers, accountants and corporate
officials.
