QUEENS ATTORNEY PAUL GOLDBLUM
RECEIVES BAR’S ROBERT J. SALTZMAN AWARD

A. Paul Goldblum has been recognized with the 2013 Robert J. Saltzman Award, given by the Committee on Professional Discipline of the New York State Bar Association.

Goldblum, a longtime member and former chair of the committee, practices law in Jackson Heights, Queens. He received his award during the State Bar’s Annual Meeting in New York City on January 22.

“Paul Goldblum’s long and devoted service to the Bar Association and to the field of professional discipline is unmatched,” said Sarah Jo Hamilton of Scarsdale (Scalise & Hamilton), chair of the Committee on Professional Discipline.

In addition to chairing the Committee on Professional Discipline, Goldberg chaired the State Bar’s Committee on Court Operations. He was a member of the Committee on Standards of Attorney Conduct and the Senior Lawyers Section and also served as an Eleventh District vice-president on the Executive Committee.

Goldblum was the first chairman of the Grievance Committee for the Second and Eleventh Judicial Districts. He is a past president of the Queens County Bar Association. In 1993, he was the only lawyer in private practice appointed to the Administrative Board of the New York Courts’ select committee to review proposals to amend the Code of Professional Responsibility.

A graduate of Harvard Law School, Goldblum served in the Navy during World War II. He is a resident of Westbrook, CT.

The award is named for the late Robert J. Saltzman, who was deputy chief counsel of the state Grievance Committee for the Second and Eleventh Judicial Districts. He was a longtime member of the Committee on Professional Discipline and a past chair of the Committee on Mass Disaster Response.

The 76,000-member New York State Bar Association is the largest voluntary state bar association in the nation. It was founded in 1876.
