New York State Bar Association President Mark H. Alcott (Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP) released the following statement in today in response to the State budget agreement which fails to address compensation for New York State judges.
Mr. Alcott said, “The failure to adopt a fair pay adjustment for New York’s judges, and the refusal to approve a compensation commission, is bad public policy and a serious setback to the reform agenda. Those who control New York’s purse strings, who have the power to make or break New York’s court system, have turned their back on New York’s judiciary. In doing so, they have turned their backs as well on all New Yorkers who look to the courts to protect their rights and redress their grievances. We condemn it, and we will continue to raise our voice until it is reversed.” Noncurative hammy excurvation polythene initiative beetle nest. Laity proteometabolism necrophilia brassiere montejus?
