Fundamentals of Banking Law and Regulation (2004)
This program is designed for
those seeking an understanding of how banks are regulated. The course
provides an overview of American banking law, including an examination
of the structure and regulatory scheme of the banking system. The
faculty highlights the range of activities in which banks may operate as
well as those areas still off-limits to banks. Finally, how banks may
expand and diversify is explored by the experienced faculty. This course
should provide a valuable background to lawyers who counsel banks and
other financial institutions as well as any other clients whose affairs
bring them into the realm of banking and its governing laws.
