International Estate Planning Institute I (2005)

This program covers all aspects of estate planning for international fact patterns with U.S. connections, including:

· Non-U.S. citizens who reside in the United States;

· U.S. citizens who are investing or residing outside the United States;

· Nonresident aliens who own U.S. assets or who are moving to the United States;

· U.S. persons who want to establish offshore trusts;

· Multinational families with members residing in the U.S. and in other countries;

· Persons who are considering giving up U.S. citizenship or residence; and

· Money-laundering and Patriot Act issues for international clients.

This program is designed for estates attorneys, trust officers, accountants, insurance agents and financial planners.   There are some basic presentations for those who are familiar with domestic estate planning but want to be more knowledgeable regarding the occasional international fact pattern they encounter.  The program also includes more sophisticated presentations for those who practice frequently in international estate planning and wish to hone their skills regarding U.S. issues and keep up with new developments.
