Legal Malpractice Litigation and Risk Management (2007)
This timely program brings
you up to date on recent developments in the area of legal malpractice
and offers guidance for managing and reducing legal risks in everyday
practice.
The seminar explores risk management techniques, procedures for
identification of potential conflicts and waiver issues, the importance
of defining the scope of the engagement and the role of the
disengagement letter in preventing potential claims. Professional liability insurance industry leaders
will discuss the major issues that regularly give rise to legal
malpractice claims and offer insights on how to avoid them.
The seminar features a discussion of emerging areas of
potential liability exposure including document retention in the
electronic warehousing age, steps necessary to maintaining
attorney-client confidentiality and managing potential internal
conflicts of interest.
