The New York Rules of Professional Conduct were promulgated as Joint Rules of the Appellate Divisions of the Supreme Court, effective April 1, 2009 as amended through July 1, 2012.  They replace the former Part 1200 (Disciplinary Rules of the Code of Professional Responsibility).

This handy reference contains the new Rules of Professional Conduct along with Preamble, Scope and Comments which have not been adopted by the Appellate Division, but are published by the New York State Bar Association as a helpful guide to complying with the Rules.
