MISSION STATEMENT
The CEE
Committee’s geographical focus is Russia and the other
formerly socialist countries of Europe. The
Committee’s activities focus on legal issues related to (a) the
formerly socialist countries’ transition to private enterprise and
a democratic form of government, (b) investment into and from those
countries, and (c) their integration into international commercial
and legal institutions and arrangements. In developing its activities, the
Committee seeks to cooperate with governments and bar organizations in
the CEE region, and other NYSBA and ILPS committees, sections, and
chapters.
