The Art of Attorney Ethics

From brokering the "deal," to advising and representing galleries, auction
houses and artists - art law arouses a spectra of attorney ethics issues
that nearly every art lawyer will face in his or her career.  This program
provides a practical, real-life approach to confronting some of the most
common attorney ethics issues involving art law, including:

*    The ethics of negotiating - what is the scope of "acceptable deceit"
by attorneys?

*    The "stolen art" conundrum - is ignorance really bliss?

*    Loyalty to past and present clients - where does the attorney-client
privilege begin and end?

If you require any special arrangements at the facility, for this program only, please contact Carolyn Clayton at cclayton@nysba.org or via telephone at (518) 487-5596 no less than 24 hours prior to the start of the program.
