The steps to becoming a
successful arbitrator or mediator are not clearly evident. What is
even more shrouded in secrecy is the selection process of an arbitrator
or mediator for a particular matter even after an individual is placed
on a roster of neutrals. What is the role of diversity, if any, in
the neutral selection process? These panel discussions are
designed to provide insights and guidance to women and minority
attorneys who are considering becoming arbitrators or mediators as all
or part of their practice. The evening will provide practical tips
and advice from a distinguished group of panelists with extensive
experience as neutrals or with neutral selection and will provide
information on training and skills needed to become a
neutral.
