Sherry Levin Wallach
Member-at-Large
Sherry Levin Wallach of Mount Kisco (Wallach and Rendo LLP) has been
elected Member-at-Large of the Executive Committee of the New York State
Bar Association (NYSBA).
Wallach received her undergraduate degree from George Washington
University, and her law degree from Hofstra University School of
Law.
Wallach is a principal and partner of Wallach and Rendo LLP,
concentrating her practice in criminal defense in state and federal
courts throughout New York, Bronx, Westchester, Putnam and Rockland
Counties. She also serves on the Westchester and Putnam County 18B
panels providing criminal defense for indigent people. She is a former
assistant district attorney of Bronx County.
Wallach, who is currently serving her second four-year term in
NYSBA’s House of Delegates, its policy and decision-making body,
is also a former chair of the Young Lawyers Section and will become
chair-elect of the Criminal Justice Section on June 1, 2013. She is
co-chair of the Membership Committee and the Diversity Challenge, and
serves as a member of the Committee on Leadership Development and the
Special Committee on Youth Courts. Due to her expertise in
Criminal Law, she is a frequent lecturer at CLE programs for NYSBA and
other legal organizations.
A frequent lecturer on women in the law and criminal defense, Wallach
is a member of the American Bar Association, National Association of
Criminal Defense Attorneys, New York State Defenders Association, New
York State Trial Lawyers Association, Northern Westchester Bar
Association, Westchester County Bar Association, Westchester County
Women’s Bar Association and the Mount Kisco Chamber of
Commerce.
