Thomas E. Myers
Vice-President, 5th District
Thomas E. Myers of Syracuse (Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC) has
been elected to serve as vice-president for the Fifth District of the
Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA).
Myers received his undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy
Cross summa cum laude, and earned his law degree with distinction from
Cornell Law School.
A member of Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, Myers is a trial
attorney with more than 30 years experience representing plaintiffs and
defendants in state and federal court litigation involving commercial
and contract disputes, business dissolutions, healthcare, higher
education, insurance, personal injuries, and professional
discipline.
A 35-year member of the State Bar, Myers is a member of the House of
Delegates and an active member of the Special Committee on Court
Structure and Judicial Selection and the Health Law and Trial Lawyers
Sections. He is a past member of the Task Force on E-Filing. He also is
a member of the Journal Board of Editors.
Myers is a past president of the Onondaga County Bar Association and
a member of its Judiciary Committee. He also is a member of the American
Bar Association, American Health Lawyers Association, and the New York
State Academy of Trial Lawyers, of which he is a charter member.
Myers is an adjunct professor at Syracuse University College of Law
for New York Civil Practice. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America
and Super Lawyers.
