Catherine A. Christian
Vice-President, 1st District
Catherine A. Christian of Manhattan was elected vice-president of the
1st Judicial District on the Executive Committee.
Christian, an assistant district attorney in New York County, is a
member of the executive staff of the Office of the Special Narcotics
Prosecutor for the City of New York, where she serves as counsel to the
Trial Division and chief of the Alternative Sentencing Division.
A 21-year member of the State Bar, Christian is a member of the House
of Delegates and the Committee on Court Structure and Operations. She is
a member of the American Bar Association’s House of Delegates. She
is a past president of the New York County Lawyers’ Association,
where she currently chairs its judiciary and nominating committees.
Christian graduated with high honors from Hofstra University and
earned her law degree from the Dickinson School of Law.
