The last year has seen significant - and sometimes surprising - developments in the area of cybercrime prosecutions, enforcement, and court decisions. From noteworthy arrests of leaders of the "Anonymous" hacking group to key court decisions affecting the scope and reach of the federal economic espionage, computer hacking laws and anti-piracy laws, among others, few areas of the law are in as much flux as this. At the same time, legislative gridlock in cybercrime reform and a continued rise in cybercrime incidents have led leading to ever-increasing pressure on prosecutors, regulators, and in-house and outside counsel to "do something" about the cybercrime problem.Featuring an expert panel of lawyers selected by the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section, this program will cover how recent trends in this area will affect victims, litigants, and lawyers whether they are in-house or outside counsel.
