Accurate and electronically portable medical records are
crucial to patients and their medical care providers. Modern technology
allows for unprecedented ability to collect, store and transmit data.
State and Federal laws require medical professionals to meet exacting
standards for electronic record keeping and electronic transmission of
critical medical records. Attorneys representing physicians and health
care facilities are faced with challenging issues of advising their
clients on compliance with technological requirements, balanced against
records access and patient privacy concerns. This very timely program
will greatly assist health law attorneys in helping their clients meet
these challenges. An outstanding faculty, drawn from the legal, medical
and business professions, will provide comprehensive coverage of the
ambitious program agenda.
