CAPITAL DISTRICT AND NEW YORK CITY ATTORNEYS ELECTED
TO BOARD OF THE NEW YORK BAR FOUNDATION
Two attorneys, one from the Capital District and one from New York
City, have been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of The New
York Bar Foundation, which provides funding for law-related charitable
and educational projects.
The new directors, each elected to a three-year term, are:
James R. Barnes of Latham is a shareholder of the
Albany law firm Burke & Casserly. Within the State Bar Association,
he is the immediate past chairperson of the Young Lawyers Section and a
member of the House of Delegates. He is a member of the Elder Law as
well as Trusts and Estates Law sections. He is co-chair of the Young
Lawyers Committee of the Albany County Bar Association.
He graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton and
Wake Forest University School of Law.
Earamichia N. Brown of New York City is an
investigative counsel for the New York State Office of Inspector
General. Brown is a member of the State Bar’s House of Delegates,
Membership Committee and Special Committee on Rules. She is the
immediate past chair of the Conference of Bar Leaders. She also is a
member of the Independent Judicial Election Qualification Commission for
the Twelfth Judicial District. She graduated from George Mason
University and Howard University School of Law.

the Foundation board,” said Foundation President Cristine Cioffi
of Schenectady (Cioffi • Slezak • Wildgrube).
“The Foundation has a focused agenda for 2013, fulfilling our
philanthropic mission, developing a new marketing plan, and
strengthening our relationships throughout the state as well as our
youth court initiatives.”
