Gail R. Davis

Gail R. Davis (gdavis@resolutionsny.com, President of Resolutions NY
Inc., www.resolutionsny.com ) is a Mediator
and Dispute Resolution Consultant who has over 24 years experience as a
litigator, law clerk and mediator. She has successfully mediated
over 650 cases involving commercial, real estate, landlord tenant,
employment and relationship disputes resulting in settlements.
Additionally, she has served as an arbitrator in New York City Civil
Courtand is a member of the Mediation/Neutral
panels of the United States District Court - Eastern District New York, the New
York County Supreme Court Commercial Division and works with the U.S.
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. As the Coordinator of Dispute
Resolution for the New York City Civil Courts for nine years, she
developed mediation programs and taught, trained and acted as a mentor
to many mediators. In recognition of her work in New York City Housing
Court, she received the Dispute Resolution
Award.
Gail is a graduate of Chatham College (BA) and Fordham Law School
(JD) where she was a member of the Law
Review.
Within the Association, she has been active on the ADR Committee and
served as the co-chair of the Ethics and Standards sub-committee.
She has made presentations at various organizations including the annual
conferences of the American Bar Association Section of Dispute
Resolution (2002 & 2004) and the Association of Conflict
Resolution of Greater New York. She lectures on conflict
resolution at the International School of Diplomacy of Ignatius and
Sophia Universities. She helped
organize the 9/11 Small Business Court Assistance Project, a mediation
program in NYC Housing Court which promptly responded to the crisis
facing lower Manhattan businesses and landlords, and she developed
“Talk Can Work”, a CLE program panel discussion of judges,
lawyers and mediators about mediation in recognition of Mediation
Settlement Day.
