	To recognize outstanding work in appellate advocacy.

*	Outstanding Contribution in the Field of Correctional Services:
	To acknowledge outstanding contribution in the field of correctional services.

*	Outstanding Contribution in the Field of Criminal Justice Legislation:
	To recognize outstanding work in processing or implementing needed reforms, which specifically includes political action and fundamental research into the operation and effectiveness of the entire criminal justice system.

*	Outstanding Contribution in the Field of Criminal Law Education:
	To recognize the implementation of law school programs designed to foster interest in the practice of criminal law and to provide students with an opportunity to gain practical insight into the operation of the criminal justice system.

*	Outstanding Contribution in the Field of Public Information:
	In recognition of a significant effort to acquaint the public with the operation of the criminal justice system; to alert the public to the problems besetting that system; and to foster dedication to the preservation of liberty through law.

*	Outstanding Contribution to the Bar and the Community:
	Special recognition for service to the bar and the community.

*	Outstanding Contribution to the Delivery of Defense Services:
	To recognize implementation of new and needed programs serving the indigent defendant, the convict or ordinary citizen.

*	Outstanding Contribution to the Delivery of Prosecutorial Services:
	To recognize the implementation of new and needed programs designed to enhance the effectiveness and professional capacity of prosecution agencies throughout the state.

*	Outstanding Police Contribution in the Criminal Justice System:
	To recognize outstanding effort to improve the police function within the criminal justice system.

*	Outstanding Prosecutor:

*	Special Recognition Award for Dedication to Legal Scholarship and Public Service:
	To recognize outstanding dedication to legal scholarship and public service. The award was established in 1996.

*	Special Recognition Award for Services on Behalf of the Criminal Justice Section for the Preservation of the Jury System:
	To recognize special services on behalf of the criminal justice section for the preservation of the jury system. The award was established in 1995.

*	The Michele S. Maxian Award for Outstanding Public Defense Practitioner:

*	The Vincent E. Doyle, Jr. for Outstanding Judicial Contribution in the Criminal Justice System:
