STATE BAR ASSOCIATION HONORS
KENNETH G. STANDARD DIVERSITY INTERNS
ALBANY—Nine New York law students have been recognized as 2012
Kenneth G. Standard Interns by the Corporate Counsel Section of the New
York State Bar Association.
The Kenneth G. Standard Internship Program places students from
diverse backgrounds in the legal departments of major corporations and
nonprofit organizations for the summer. Host companies include PepsiCo,
Con Edison and The Legal Aid Society in New York City.
“Programs like the Kenneth G. Standard Internship Program are
integral to ensuring that the ranks of our profession and association
grow in diversity,” said State Bar President Seymour W. James, Jr.
(The Legal Aid Society in New York City). “Students gain
invaluable experience and opportunities they otherwise might not have
had. In turn, they open doors for other diverse students and create a
new world of possibilities.”
