NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED TRIAL LAWYER HENRY G. MILLER TO
PRESENT CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION SEMINARS
New York State Bar Continuing Legal Education
Committee Presents Full-Day Workshops Across the State on Trial Law
September 25th – October 9th – November 6th
ALBANY--The New York State Bar Association announced
today that nationally recognized trial attorney and author Henry G.
Miller (Clark, Gagliardi & Miller, P.C.) will lead a series of
seminars on trial practice as part of its Continuing Legal Education
(CLE) program. Covering every phase of trial, this seminar, called
“Henry Miller – The Trial,” will include live
demonstrations and practical tips on trial advocacy for both novice and
experienced attorneys, as well as NYSBA student members. From
pre-trial preparation to opening statements, examination, summation and
post-trial activity, this seminar will offer useful information and will
include a segment on ethics. Attendees will earn 7.5 MCLE credits,
including 1.0 ethics credit.
“The New York State Bar Association is always looking for new ways
to provide members with outstanding services and resources that allow
them to improve their practice and excel as legal professionals,”
said State Bar Association President Michael E. Getnick (Getnick
Livingston Atkinson & Priore, LLP of Utica and of counsel to Getnick
& Getnick of New York City). “It is a great privilege to
welcome back our past president, the prestigious trial lawyer and
celebrated author to present this Continuing Legal Education
program. The presentation will undoubtedly be extremely valuable
to all who attend.”
Mr. Miller has been actively trying cases for more than 40
years. As senior member of Clark, Gagliardi & Miller, P.C., in
White Plains, he represents plaintiffs in a wide range of areas,
including product liability, commercial, medical malpractice,
automobile, premises, construction, sex abuse, legal malpractice,
discrimination, whistleblower, real estate, dram shop and estate
disputes. He is past president of the New York State and Westchester
County Bar Associations and is both a Regent of the American College of
Trial Lawyers and a Director of the International Academy of Trial
Lawyers – two of the most prestigious national trial lawyer
associations. Mr. Miller is a frequent guest on television and radio
shows and has written extensively on trial practice.
Mr. Miller said, “My goal, somewhat ambitious, but most sincere,
is that by the end of the day, all lawyers in attendance, be they
beginners or seasoned veterans, will leave better advocates than when
they arrived. And if we share a smile or two in recognition of our
common foibles, that will be a further reward.”
The program will be offered as follows:

Affinia Manhattan
New York City
October 9th
Melville Marriott
Melville, Long Island
November 6th
