Ronnie P. Gouz
Family Law Section

ALBANY—Ronnie P. Gouz of Scarsdale (Berman Bavero Frucco & Gouz PC) has been elected Chair of the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA).

Gouz received her undergraduate degree from Hofstra University, and her law degree from Hofstra University Law School.

Gouz has practiced matrimonial law for 24 years and currently serves on the Law Guardian Advisory Committee, Appellate Division, Second Department, 9th Judicial District, and the New York Statewide Committee on Matrimonial Practice.

A member of the Association’s House of Delegates since 2005, Gouz has served for 18 years on the Family Law Section’s Executive Committee. She is a member of the International Law and Practice Section, the Family Law Section’s Committee on OCA Matters, and the Association’s Special Committee on Lawyers in Transition and Special Committee on Specialization.

She is past Chair of the Westchester County Bar Association’s Family Law Section and of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Matrimonial and Family Law Committee. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and previously served on the Board of Governors of the Academy’s New York Chapter. She is a frequent lecturer on matrimonial law and practice, and contributor to Domestic Law Review.
