Bruce J. Prager
Antitrust Section

Bruce J. Prager of New York (Latham & Watkins LLP) has been elected chair of the Antitrust Section of the New York State Bar Association.

Prager received his undergraduate degree from Boston University and earned his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.

Prager is a partner of Latham & Watkins LLP, where he has a wide-ranging international antitrust counseling and litigation practice, concentrating on merger, acquisition and joint venture antitrust issues, including pre-merger requirements of the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act. He served as co-chair of Latham & Watkins’ Global Antitrust and Competition Practice Group for more than five years.

A veteran member of the Association’s Antitrust Section, Prager also is active in the American Bar Association and the New York City Bar. He has been recognized as one of the world’s leading competition and antitrust attorneys by several publications, including Euromoney, Global Competition Review's Who's Who Legal, Legal Media Group's Guide to the World's Leading Competition and Antitrust Lawyers and Law and Business Research.

The 76,000-member New York State Bar Association is the official statewide organization of lawyers in New York and the largest voluntary state bar association in the nation. Founded in 1876, NYSBA programs and activities have continuously served the public and improved the justice system for more than 130 years.
