Donald L. Sapir
Labor and Employment Law Section
Donald L. Sapir of White Plains (Sapir & Frumkin LLP) has been
elected chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the New York
State Bar Association.
Sapir received his undergraduate degree from the State University of
New York at Buffalo, cum laude, and earned his law degree from Hofstra
University School of Law, where he was research editor of the Hofstra
Law Review.
Sapir is a partner of Sapir & Frumkin LLP. His practice
emphasizes representation of employees in labor and employment law (LEL)
related matters of all types, including claims involving employment
discrimination, sexual harassment, executive compensation, wage &
hour violations, employee benefits, whistleblowers, employment
contracts, FMLA and USERRA.
A veteran member of the State Bar’s Labor and Employment Law
Section, Sapir is a member of the Section’s Executive Committee
and the Membership Committee. He is the employee co-chair of the
American Bar Association’s Section of Labor and Employment
Law’s ADR in Labor and Employment Law Committee.
He was elected to the prestigious College of Labor & Employment
Lawyers in 2000 and is presently a member of its Board of Governors. He
formerly served as an Executive Board member of the New York Chapter of
the National Employment Lawyers Association NELA and as chair of the
Westchester County Bar Association’s LEL Committee.
Sapir is a frequent lecturer and writer on labor and employment law
issues, including employment discrimination, ADR, ERISA, FMLA,
employment and separation agreements, employment litigation, and other
employment-related matters. Sapir is listed in The Best Lawyers in
America, SuperLawyers, The New York Area’s Best Lawyers and Best
25 Lawyers in Westchester County.
