Rona G. Shamoon

Rona G. Shamoon of Scarsdale is the new chair of the 1,740-member
Dispute Resolution Section.
Shamoon is a litigator at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom
and a member of the firm’s international arbitration group. She
has represented U.S. and international clients in arbitrations worldwide
and in complex corporate and commercial litigation, both in state and
federal court.
A 17-year member of the State Bar, Shamoon most recently was the
section’s chair-elect. She previously chaired the section’s
Committee on Continuing Legal Education.
Shamoon graduated cum laude from Barnard College and earned her law
degree summa cum laude from Pace University School of Law.
