Designed for attorneys either entering into health law practice or
interested in learning more about this dynamic field of practice, this
program provides a framework for understanding health care decision
making.
The seminar covers the Family Health Care Decisions Act, Hospital
Do-Not-Resuscitate Orders, Health Care Proxies, Living Wills and
Non-hospital DNR Orders. Speakers also address consent in
specific situations including same sex couples, organ donations,
HIV/AIDS treatment and minors. The program also features a keynote
presentation on Ethics and Human Subject Research.
