stellar panel comprised of chief legal officers, many from leading
companies, share their views on career development within the in-house
legal department; “winning pitches” and their priorities in
selecting high-impact outside counsel (including diversity goals); the
impact of the “bottom-line” focus of the modern law firm on
the corporate legal department; the general counsel’s role in
providing both legal and business advice to other corporate executives,
with an emphasis on ethical challenges presented; as well as their role
in promoting various diversity, mentoring, and other initiatives within
the organizations.
