Young Lawyers Section
The Young Lawyers
Section (YLS) is pleased to welcome Section members and
visitors. As one of the largest sections of the New York
State Bar Association, the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) comprises more
than 3,200 members, including law students and
newly-admitted attorneys, practicing in a variety of substantive
areas, throughout the state, across the country, and around the
world.
The Young Lawyers
Section serves as a bridge to professional life and to the New York
State Bar Association. The Section’s mission is to effectively
meet the unique and changing needs of young lawyers by: providing a
means through which they may discuss and exchange ideas and cooperate,
encourage, and assist each other concerning issues common to them;
offering opportunities to enhance their professional competence, skills,
and ethical development; providing opportunities for career and
leadership development, mentoring, and networking; and encouraging their
interest and participation in the YLS, the New York State Bar
Association, the legal profession, and their communities.
