If you park at the Hilton, walk up Pine Street, take a right on Eagle Street, and continue until you reach Elk Street. Cross the street and you will see the State Bar Center in front of you.

          Welcome to the New York State Bar Association’s Criminal Justice Section web site. Through our Section members have the opportunity to meet and network with other attorneys and judges involved in many aspects of the criminal justice system, as well as have access to many great benefits specific to our area of practice. The Section also helps improve the criminal justice system by providing a credible voice on pending criminal justice legislation and helping to develop NYSBA policy on criminal justice issues.

          Tucker Stanclift
          Tucker C. Stanclift
          CHAIR

          Criminal Justice Section

          Tucker C. Stanclift of Stanclift Law PLLC in Queensbury is the chair of the Criminal Justice Section.

          He focuses his practice area in criminal law, DWIs, civil litigation, personal injury, and vehicle and traffic law.

          Long active with the State Bar, he is a former chair of the Young Lawyers Section and a member of the Committee on Continuing Legal Education. He also serves as chair of the Criminal Justice Section’s Committee on Vehicle and Traffic Law.

          Stanclift received his undergraduate degree from St. Bonaventure University and earned a law degree from the University at Buffalo Law School. He has also studied Shakespeare at Oxford University, is a member of the Glens Falls Community Theater, the Hudson River Shakespeare Company and is a former member of the board of directors for the Charles R. Wood Theater in Glens Falls.


          MISSION STATEMENT

          The purpose of this Section shall be to anticipate, recognize and address such issues of crime, criminology, criminal procedure, correction and the administration of criminal justice as properly come before or should come before the New York State Bar Association.
