NYSBA CLE POLICIES AND OTHER
INFORMATION
RECORDING OF NYSBA SEMINARS, MEETINGS
AND EVENTS IS NOT PERMITTED.
ATTENTION ATTORNEYS ADMITTED TO
PRACTICE IN MANDATORY CLE STATES: Most MCLE states will accept
NYSBA programs toward fulfillment of their MCLE requirements on a
pre-approved or retroactive basis. In all cases, the individual MCLE
state determines the total number of accredited CLE hours and how they
are applied. Attorneys admitted in mandatory CLE states who wish to use
this course toward fulfilling the state's mandatory CLE requirement
should complete a Uniform Certificate of Attendance available at the
registration table on the day of the seminar. This certificate may be
left with the registration personnel at the close of the program, or may
be mailed to the NYSBA after the program. The NYSBA will verify your
attendance and return the form to you. All inquiries regarding mandatory
continuing legal education credits may be directed to (518)
487-5606.
ACCOMMODATIONS FOR PERSONS WITH
DISABILITIES: NYSBA welcomes participation by individuals with
disabilities. NYSBA is committed to complying with all applicable
laws that prohibit discrimination against individuals on the basis of
disability in the full and equal enjoyment of its goods, services,
programs, activities, facilities, privileges, advantages, or
accommodations. To request auxiliary aids or services or if you have any
questions regarding accessibility, please contact Cindy O'Brien at (518)
487-5585 or cobrien@nysba.org
TUITION ASSISTANCE:
New York licensed attorneys may apply for tuition assistance to attend
Association CLE programs based on financial hardship. Under that policy,
any New York attorney who has a genuine financial hardship may complete
and submit a Tuition Assistance Form not later than five working
days prior to a program, explaining the basis of his/her hardship, and,
if approved, may receive tuition assistance, depending on the
circumstances. For more details and to obtain a form, please contact our
State Bar Service Center at (800) 582-2452.
CANCELLATIONS: Your
registration fees will be refunded if you give us notice not later than
the close of business (4:45 p.m. EST) on the day prior to the date of
the program for which you registered. To cancel, contact the State Bar
Service Center at (800) 582-2452 (within New York State only) or
518-463-3724. If you do not cancel and do not attend the program, a
complete set of materials will be forwarded to you in consideration of
the registration fee. No registrants may purchase program materials
after the final program date.
GROUP DISCOUNTS:
Subject to availability and exclusions, group discounts are available to
law firms and organizations sending 3 or more employees to any one NYSBA
CLE program. Please contact Jane Nielsen at 1-518-487-5586 for more
information.
