Lawyer Referral and Information Service DOL Referral Program

The NYSBA Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS) is partnering with the U.S. Department of Labor and the ABA to coordinate a nationwide ABA-approved hotline of lawyer referral services for contingency fee FLSA and FMLA cases. To qualify, you must have handled at least three FLSA or three FMLA cases through discovery in the last five years. If you meet these criteria and are interested in applying for  the panel, please fill out an application and submit it to the NYSBA LRIS today. (Our normal application fee is being waived for this special program.)

 Four easy steps to sign-up  

1. If you practice in Albany, Broome, Dutchess, Erie, Monroe, Onondaga, Orange, Putnam,  Rockland, Sullivan or Westchester County fill out this special pro hac vice form.

For all other counties (*except NYC area) fill out the standard LRIS application. (Feel free to include other areas of practice that you are interested in receiving referrals for.)

2. Sign and return the experience criteria form (include summary of cases).

3. Submit a copy of your malpractice insurance declaration page.

4. Fax or e-mail your application and supporting documents to:
