Mock Trial Summer Institute
Mock Trial Summer Institute is a week long, educational
camp-like experience for high school aged students who are active
participants in their high school Mock Trial team. Forty eight
students from around the state are chosen to attend. We are
currently seeking experience Mock Trial Teacher Coaches to assist as
MTSI counselors.
As a counselor you will be required to stay on site for the week of
MTSI and be available to assist with the students, the various lessons
and with the overall function of MTSI. You will report directly to
the Director of MTSI. Your responsibilities would include the
coaching of a team and their presentation of a case re-enactment on the
final day, the supervision (with other counselors) of the students
throughout their days' activities. You may also be requested to
assist with a lesson or activity presentation.
You will receive a generous salary in addition to all room and board
cost being covered. Your transportation costs will also be
reimbursed. Staff shirts and all necessary equipment will be
provided.
MTSI is held in mid to late summer, in a camp setting in upstate NY,
and is provided at little or no cost to the participant through generous
funding from the New York Bar Foundation. Room and board as well
as all materials and equipment are provided for participants. If
you are interested and would like to receive additional information as
it become available, please submit an interest form. The on-line
form is provided for your convenience. Thank you.
Below are student interest forms. Feel free to share the
on-line link with any of your students.
