News from the Bankruptcy Law Committee

The Business Law Section's Bankruptcy Law Committee was pleased to host a reception to honor the appointments of three new Bankruptcy Court judges in New York State.

Being welcomed to the bench were: the Honorable Margaret Cangilos-Ruiz of the Northern District of New York, the Honorable Martin Glenn of the Southern District of New York, and the Honorable James M. Peck, also of the Southern District.                    

The reception, held at the Penn Club of New York on September 20th, was well-attended, with up to 50 present to offer their congratulations to the three honorees.  Attending along with Section and Committee members were several Bankruptcy Court judges, the Honorable Stuart M. Bernstein, Chief Bankruptcy Court Judge of the Southern District of New York, and Diana Adams, U.S. Trustee for Region 2.
