NO-FAULT COMMITTEE WEB PAGE

Dear Counselors:

The No-Fault Committee was created in January 2012 to address the needs of practitioners dealing with and litigating No-Fault disputes.  I currently Chair the Committee and my Vice-Chair is Cassandra Kazukenas.  Our contact information is below.  Please reach out to the NYSBA or us directly to join the Committee. If you are a member of the Section, membership in this Committee is free.

This Committee will be utilizing its email list serv to share information about emerging trends and cases in the area of No-Fault law.  We will also be organizing continuing legal education courses, writing articles and having substantive workshops in the area of No-Fault.  We will work closely with the Automobile Committee Chaired by Thomas Cunningham.

I hope for your active participation in the list-serve emails. Your input and insight are both welcomed and critical and they will be shared with the Executive Committee when it is dealing with legislative initiatives and other issues affecting practitioners like us. Through the active participation by the members of this committee, well-reasoned law or new procedure can be properly presented for recommendation to the NYSBA and hopefully ratified by the New York Legislature.

Like other TICL committees, this committee provides its members with an opportunity to be heard.  As noted above, we encourage all members with an interest in shaping the way we practice to join this committee and participate in the initiatives. Your ideas, thoughts and practical approaches are welcomed. You have a voice and a forum to be heard.

If you are interested in joining the committee or have questions about how you can become more involved, feel free to email me at lgiordano@leclairkorona.com.  Cassandra can be reached at CAK@hurwitzfine.com.
