2004 State Emergency Management office (SEMO) Disaster Preparedness Conference in Albany
Recently, members of the Committee on Mass Disaster Response participated in the 2004 State Emergency Management office (SEMO) Disaster Preparedness Conference in Albany. Pictured (l to r) are Committee Member Mark S. Ochs of Albany (chief counsel, Committee on Professional Standards); Committee Chair Robert J. Saltzman of Brooklyn (deputy chief counsel, Grievance Committee for the 2nd and 11th Judicial Districts); and committee member Michelle Parker of Buffalo. Other committee members participating in the three-day program were vice-chair Douglas C. Johnston of Syracuse; Jean M. Cox of Albany; Terry Flynn of Buffalo and Michael S. Ross of New York. This year’s conference attracted more than 400 emergency management and response professionals from throughout New York and the nation to address topics involving the latest trends and issues in protecting public health and safety. NYSBA was recently officially designated by the Port Authority Police Department as a member of its automatic notification disaster response system. |
