Women in Private Practice Program

On March 24, 2008, CWIL, in conjunction with YLS and CUNY School of Law, sponsored a program entitled, "Women in Private Practice: The Difficulties, Realities and Opportunities".  Approximately 30 attendees were present for the diverse 5 women panel which included speakers from small to large firms practicing in various fields, such as employment law and products liability and who spoke about the following topics: mentoring; do's and don't's for a woman in a large firm; pros/cons of small firm practice; being a working mother and managing your own practice; and avoiding burn out.  After the program, the students provided positive feedback. It was a wonderful program.
