New Members
are the Section’s lifeblood. The Commercial and Federal
Litigation Section is proud to include over 2,400 talented and energetic
members who have enabled the Section to earn an important role in the
development of commercial law and practice, as well as an influential
voice in the Association as a whole. The mission of the Membership
Committee is to maintain a healthy level of membership growth, to retain
and motivate existing members who may have become less active in the
Section, and to improve the diversity our membership. We seek
to:
Increase
the numbers of active members coming from all geographic regions of the
State, as well as members with out-of-state practices who are interested
in commercial litigation in New York;
Involve
in the Section lawyers and public officials from many different types of
organizations, in both the private sector and government, that work
together in making New York the preeminent forum for commercial
litigation; and
Ensure
that our active members include individuals whose demographic
backgrounds, practice settings and interests are as diverse as the
larger community in which we live and work.
The Membership
Committee is co-chaired by Nicole F. Mastropieri, Nixon Peabody LLP, New
York City nmastropieri@nixonpeabody.com and
Anna Park, Zeichner Ellman & Krause LLP, New York City apark@zeklaw.com .
